ESL Placement Scores

Straightforward ESL Writing Placement scores (ie: ESL 041) will continue to be recorded as appropriate in Datatel.

"Narrative" ESL Writing Placement scores (ie: Please don't enroll this student in any credit ESL writing course yet. Choose a reading and/or listening-speaking course instead. Then later choose ESL 042.) will be recorded as follows:

• the placement of ESL 042 will be recorded in Datatel.
• the narrative sentence will be entered on STRK.

Any advisor who sees a student with an ESL writing placement needs to check either DocStar or STRK to ensure proper advising.
