Students should not be advised to enroll in SOC 130 and PSY 130 in the same semester. Students who want to take both in the same semester should be discouraged from doing so.
These courses discuss similar material from different perspectives and Cindy Seaman has observed that students often get confused when taking them at once. Instead, they should take them in different semesters so that they can understand the material as its presented in each class and keep the courses distinct.
