Advising Current Students

All Student Affairs staff advisors may advise declared majors. Student Affairs advisors should continue to encourage students to connect with their assigned major advisor, even though they may seek out registration-related advising support from Student Affairs. Connecting with major advisors is important for students because of the information faculty have about career paths, the local job market, internship opportunities, elective course options, and other major-specific topics that may not be known by Student Affairs.
