Waiving Placement with AP English Scores

Students who score a 3 or higher on an AP English exam are no longer required to take the Reading or Writing placement test. Students may provide an official score report from the College Board. AP scores reported on the high school transcript will also be accepted.

Students who score a 3 on an AP English exam should be registered should COM 121. Students who score a 4 or 5 on the AP English exam receive transfer credit for COM 121 and may register for an upper-level COM class as required by their program.

Effective immediately.
