To prevent students from rushing to finish their placement test so they can get into an earlier group advising session, we should use the following language during the test:
When describing advising: “we have multiple group advising sessions being held this afternoon/evening. When you finish your test, you’ll receive a card that gives you the time and location of your advising session” instead.
If students push for advising details before they’ve finished the test: “I can’t tell you now what time you’ll see an advisor. Your advising session time will depend on when you finish your test.”
Effective immediately
